Overall Opinion:
St. Tropez recently launched this Whipped Marshmallow Mousse, and I couldn't wait to try it! Overall, I liked it, merely information technology didn't really stand out in any areas. Information technology's a good mousse, but non great. I'd definitely use it again in a compression, but it'due south non going to be my new get-to.
So, to offset off with, the packaging is very cute. Information technology'south pink and white and very girly. The mousse comes with a blue, velvety tanning manus, which is also keen!
This marshmallow mousse smells smashing; it applies easily and gives a pretty nice color. I do wish it was a petty bit darker of a tan though.
For the cons, information technology is And so pasty, and it'south very expensive.
Also, since this is chosen a "Marshmallow" mousse, I was expecting this to be a fluffy, white mousse with a marshmallow-like texture. I was wrong. This is a brown mousse that much resembles their original mousse. They include a marshmallow excerpt in this mousse, and that's where information technology gets its name. Confusing, I know.
And then later using this mousse, I give it iii out of 5 stars.
Detailed Opinion:
Look and Feel
This St. Tropez mousse has a light, airy, foamy texture, as exercise almost of their mousses. The foam holds its texture nicely and isn't watery.
This marshmallow mousse has a brown color to it, which kind of confused me. Being a "whipped marshmallow" mousse, I expected information technology to be white!
Application
When you lot purchase this mousse, information technology comes with a mitt. I honestly dearest the paw. Information technology's really soft and velvety and feels actually loftier end. It'due south also really convenient because I was going to use a mitt anyways to employ it.
This mousse goes on similarly to the regular St. Tropez mousses. You can kind of come across where you lot're applying it, but the mousse doesn't go on every bit dark every bit some mousses. So y'all do demand to pay pretty close attention while applying this ane to ensure y'all don't miss whatsoever spots.
It'due south easy to blend in, and not very messy if you utilize the mitt. I didn't have any issues with the awarding process.
Drying Fourth dimension
This is another typical St. Tropez Mousse that is very gluey. Once practical, it takes about 40 minutes to dry on your pare. In the meantime, it feels extremely pasty and tacky to the affect.
I kind of expected this though, because I know mousses are stickier in general. That'south simply the nature of the mousse game ;)
Smell (Earlier Awarding)
St. Tropez Whipped Marshmallow Mousse has a unlike smell than their regular mousses. The scent is "limited edition" and it smells actually good!
It's extremely sugariness smelling. I actually enjoy the scent of this product, whereas I normally don't care for the scent of St. Tropez products.
Odor (Afterwards Several Hours And The Next Day)
The next morning I could smell a little fleck of DHA mixed in with the sweetness aroma, but it wasn't horrible.
Colour Produced
The directions say to leave this self tanner on for 4-8 hours in order for information technology to develop. I left mine on for 8 hours overnight.
When I woke upward, I looked pretty dark, merely the color guide accounted for a lot of that darkness. Afterward I showered off the guide, I was left with a medium tan. I liked the fashion my tan looked; it was pretty natural looking. But I do wish it was a little bit darker.
The color is a little on the orange/yellow side, just on my peel tone it worked. For those of y'all with pinker undertones, yous may not like this colour every bit much. But if yous're looking for a medium shade tan that looks natural, it's worth a shot!
How Long It Lasts
Unfortunately, my tan only lasted 2-3 days before I felt like I needed to reapply. I wish this tan lasted a few days longer. It faded pretty unevenly every bit well; I looked very splotchy and my peel looked dry.
OK For Men?
Yes, if you're looking for a medium shade tan, this 1 is a pretty good choice.
Price
St. Tropez Whipped Marshmallow Mousse is very pricey at $45 per bottle. That'southward more than your average self tanner on the market place.
